Addisons has a fantastic permanent, full-time position available for a Solicitor (2-5 years PQE) to join our successful Commercial Disputes and Insolvency team.
This role will see you working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with seasoned senior lawyers who possess extensive litigation expertise. As a motivated and detail-oriented professional, you will handle a wide range of corporate and commercial disputes, including contract and commercial disputes, professional indemnity claims, shareholder disputes and claims involving deceased estates. You will also handle formal insolvencies (voluntary administrations and liquidations) as well as advisory and restructuring work. Clients span across a variety of industries including property & construction, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, IT, professional services, and financial services.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Appearing in courts and tribunals (where required)
- Dealing with clients and counsel on a daily basis and conducting conferences with clients
- Conducting research on legal issues associated with cases and legislation
- Assisting with preparation of court documentation and correspondence for court action such as drafting advice, pleadings, written affidavit evidence to be submitted to the court
- Management of cases under the guidance of our senior lawyers
To be considered for the role, you will need to be a qualified lawyer with 2-5 years post-admission experience in general disputes, commercial litigation or insolvency and have:
- An excellent academic record
- Strong technical, drafting and research skills
- Sound knowledge of court practice and processes in New South Wales
- Proficiency in meeting strict deadlines and working effectively in a team environment
- A keen eye for detail and proficiency in effectively organising and managing a number of competing priorities
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm and a positive collaborative approach
