Description:

We are seeking two solicitors, with a minimum of 2 yrs post admission experience up to Junior Senior Associate to join our Sydney-based specialist restructuring and insolvency team.
About the roles
King & Wood Mallesons’ specialist restructuring and insolvency team sits in the banking and finance team. With close links to the broader KWM practice, the team has access to the most significant and complex restructuring and insolvency work in the market. The team is known as a centre of excellence and has the benefit of some of the finest legal and commercial minds working in restructuring and insolvency in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Our team remains busy on several very significant situations. As we work through those situations and start on new ones, we are looking for two ambitious solicitors to join us. If you want to continue to focus on front-end restructuring work and to play a leading role in our market-leading team, then this is an excellent opportunity to step up.

Candidates will:

  • be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Australian restructuring and insolvency procedures
  • have a genuine passion to work in a team environment with a focus on collaboration
  • demonstrate attention to detail, organisational skills, and a strong work ethic
  • have ambitions to specialise in restructuring & insolvency work and over time take on a senior role in our team

You will:

  • work on complex restructuring and insolvency matters in a collaborative and supportive environment focused on training
  • have direct contact with our broader practice and clients
  • have opportunities to take initiative and responsibility on matters
  • be supported to develop your skills and profile and to build relationships in the Australian restructuring and insolvency market
