Description:

As Solution Architect - Data Protection and Tokenization, you actively monitor opportunities offered by new technologies and business approaches for the organization as a whole. You design solutions to meet the business needs of large-scale projects or programs that leverage architecture and foundation targets, particularly those that affect data protection and tokenization. You take on, from a Desjardins Group perspective, a leadership and influencer role when interacting with business partners and specialists on solution or business architecture for strategic, complex and innovative initiatives. The nature of the files require extensive and in-depth expertise in several technology and/or business fields, covering aspects pertaining to data, applications and infrastructure. You make recommendations regarding solution or business architecture, and produce deliverables pertaining to your field as part of files or projects that have a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. These require analysis and an overall, in-depth understanding of the business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You must interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in different fields of expertise. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies. Desjardins is going digital and speeding up its IT transformation by implementing IT Foundations, platforms, tools and practices that allow us to offer innovative, optimal and sustainable business solutions in a coordinated way that ensures data security. To manage and develop these IT Foundations, Desjardins has established a large, multi-level team that works in Agile mode across the organization (using the SAFe framework). More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert to an architecture team for large-scale, specialized projects and mandates that significantly impact the entire organization
  • Advise and assist specialists and business partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic mandates under your responsibility. Organize, manage and deliver guidelines, as needed, on specific technical subjects requiring the consensus of multiple stakeholders
  • Support your unit’s strategic projects and initiatives by developing and updating policies, standards, architecture targets and supporting foundations, or technology solutions, taking into account aspects pertaining to data, applications and infrastructure
  • Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues. Establish guidelines and make recommendations to the appropriate decision-making bodies and committees
  • Represent your unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies
  • Represent Desjardins’s position when making agreements with external partners and organizations
