KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in provision of presales support and in a customer facing role
  • Extensive experience in creating proposals and responding to tenders, including developing cost models
  • Comprehensive knowledge of three or more of the following vendors and technologies:
  • Compute: HPe, Lenovo, Dell and Cisco
  • Storage: Nutanix, HPe, Nimble, Pure, Dell/EMC, NetApp
  • Backup: Veeam, Dell, Cohesity, Commvault, Veritas
  • Virtualisation: VMWare vSphere, vRealize Suite, NSX and Microsoft
  • Cloud: Microsoft, AWS, Nutanix etc
  • As well as a broad knowledge of the general Data Centre ecosystem solutions and partners
  • Background in a professional services environment or similar, delivering a variety of small, medium, and large projects across multiple customers
  • Experience in developing solutions to customer problems using Data Centre technologies and developing architectural designs.
  • Ability to plan, design and implement solutions working solo or collaboratively as part of a team; demonstrating experience working with customers to deliver successful solutions
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills with a consultative approach to determining client requirements along with a collaborative approach to developing and deploying solutions.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has opened up within our growing Professional Services practice for a passionate and motivated Presales Infrastructure Solution Architect.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Be responsible for actively driving and managing the pre-sales process with customers the Solution Architect must be able to articulate the value of Data Centre solutions, positioning to both business and technical users.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance by identifying customers technical and business requirements, developing technology solutions, and supporting business sales teams and account managers through developments of proposals and quotations.
  • Work either directly with customers, or jointly with Data#3 team members, to define, compile and document designs and implementation plans, and then implement to specifications and designs
  • Implement solutions to specifications and designs
  • Apply technical knowledge to effectively analyse and resolve problems
  • Work with team to coach and mentor on deployment of Data Centre services
  • Assess and evaluate risk and understand the implications of deploying new technologies
  • Demonstrate a vision for remaining relevant in a world of fast-paced and ever-changing IT technologies
