Description:

Manchester Metropolitan University are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious Solution Architects to join their growing IT Architecture team.
The University is embarking on a significant transformation of its education, research and support functions. As part of this transformation we are modernising and consolidating many business systems, moving to modern cloud based business platforms. The Solution Architects will support existing Enterprise Architects who are working across the programmes and will help to support us in this significant migration and modernisation.
We are looking for individuals with good in-depth knowledge of information systems / solutions development. Within the programme the Solution Architect leads the preparation of solution architecture designs, plans and, in liaison with business assurance and project staff, ensures that appropriate solution materials are made available. Leads the solution through internal design assurance reviews. Produces durable, flexible and extensible architectural designs
You will work with key stakeholders across the University including Technical Managers, Enterprise Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, internal and external suppliers, taking responsibility for producing and maintaining the Architecture designs.
You will also provide advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.
