We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our team. Given our work revolves around information and statistics and the presentation of statistics to promote better health and wellbeing, our projects have a significant dependency on data and ICT.
Your main responsibility will be to provide the necessary leadership, analysis and designs related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

When there are gaps in the current state, you will be able to;

  • Create solutions that take practical considerations into account to get to the future state.
  • Create definitions for Minimum-Viable-Products to demonstrate value to senior-level executives.

SKILLS

Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture.

  • Network Infrastructure: Knowledge of OSI model and the communication protocols that operate at each layer of the stack.
  • Security: Understanding encryption, in transit, and at rest and testing for vulnerabilities in a systems design.
  • Cloud/Hybrid/On-Premises Infrastructure: Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms with knowledge of compute, storage, identity & access management, governance, and networking services.
  • Database Administration or Design: Knowledge of SQL and data vault/data warehouse/data lake solutions.
  • Software Design & Development: Ability to formulate a high-level solution from a set of business requirements, architectural drivers, and design constraints while presenting trade-off between scaling, load, availability, and fault tolerance.
  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize and DevOps).
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL).
  • Understanding of IT standards and controls.
  • Proven analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills.
