YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS LIKELY TO INCLUDE….

  • Data improvement and/or application modernisation projects in an engineering / product development function.
  • CAD, PDM or PLM data migration (extract, transform, load).
  • The definition and implementation of standalone or preferably integrated mCAD, eCAD and ALM solutions.
  • Working within ITIL, PRINCE or Agile environments.
  • Collaborating in cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
  • Delivering customer facing business systems solutions.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

To enable more efficient working practices and closer collaboration between product development teams globally, Steam Business Development is looking for a versatile individual to support the technical design, approval, and delivery of continual improvement opportunities in product design data (and/or applications in which this data is created).
By defining the AS IS and TO BE state of product design data created by, and the engineering applications used by, development engineers in Steam Thermal Solutions, this role will be pivotal in rationalising the existing landscape for Global Engineering in Steam Thermal Solutions.

YOUR OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL FOCUS ON…

  • Holding responsibilities for the AS IS and TO BE mechanical, electrical/electronic and software development technical architectures.
    o Creating and maintaining technical architectural design documents.

o Developing (product) data models & standards.

  • Analysis & reporting on the quality of (product) data.
  • Improving existing product definition data.
  • Supporting data loads to existing PDM/PLM applications.
  • Supporting the design of integrations to facilitate data transfer across systems.
  • Guiding, coaching, mentoring, and supporting other team members.
