Description:

Digital Health Projects deliver ICT initiatives for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. The next phase of initiatives includes, upgrades, enhancements and expansion to existing Sunshine Coast University Hospital deployed applications, uplifts to infrastructure capacity and capabilities at both Nambour General Hospital (NGH) and Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and new strategic ICT initiatives.
The Solution Architect reports to the Director, Telecommunications and ICT Business Improvement and will work collaboratively with other members of the Project Services team to fulfil the requirements of the role.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of fit for purpose solution architectures for complex systems that address a specified business problem and fully encompass the architectural concerns of business, information, application, technology and security domains in alignment with Enterprise Architecture strategies, directives and standards.
  • Ensure system requirements are sufficiently captured to drive the architecting of a solution that fully meets the needs and expectations of system stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess the implications of applicable Queensland Health, whole-of-government and industry related policies, standards and any other constraints (including funding and schedule) that impact architectural decision-making and ensure these are appropriately reflected in the solution architecture.
  • Evaluate and undertake impact analysis of major architectural options and assess associated risks and issues, ensuring that the solution architecture balances function, service, quality and system management requirements.
    Remuneration value up to $161 781 p.a., comprising salary between $132 072 - $141 738 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO7).
