Job Summary
Red Hat is looking for recent graduates in Switzerland to join our 12 month Graduate Program as a Solution Architecture Graduates, starting on October 1, 2024 in a permanent role. During the program, you’ll be working closely with our Technical Sales team as a Solutions Architect, but also get to experience the role of a Consultant, via a short placement in the Services organization. You’ll develop your technical skills and knowledge of our products, and gain familiarity with the company and customer facing experience. The ideal candidate is based either in the bigger Zurich area or can reach Zurich with an easier 1 to max. 2 hours train ride. During the program, you will be working from home as well as on site with your assigned clients.
You’ll be assigned a mentor and buddy who will help guide you through Red Hat, providing important shadowing opportunities and learning assignments. To support your continuous improvement, you’ll follow an intense learning path at Red Hat Learning Portal that offers training on technologies, certifications, and soft skills which will support your career development. You will receive regular development reviews, which have been designed to ensure you gain the necessary training and experience. At the end of the program in September 2025, you will be prepared to join the Presales organization and have an understanding of where your career at Red Hat can take you.
As a Solution Architecture Graduate at Red Hat, you’ll experience the culture of our open organization and gain an appreciation of our solutions that you’ll share with our customers. You’ll help bring open source enterprise solutions to life, whether it’s through positioning our software and the value it can bring or helping customers implement our products.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Use your technical knowledge and business understanding when assisting with specific customer projects under the supervision and mentoring of experienced Red Hatters
  • Constantly learn about new Red Hat technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your colleagues and our customers, developing your own network for long-term placement
  • Complete a number of training courses at Red Hat Learning Portal, and earn internally as well as externally recognized certifications
  • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner, using your critical thinking skills to work through tough problems in innovative ways

Required Skills

  • Passion for open source technology, customer service, and desire to build a career in the IT industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, IT, mathematics, data science, or a related field of study
  • Fluent spoken and written English and German language
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites depending on assignment (most often to Zurich) and to work from home (/or from our office location)
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively on your own and as a part of a team
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers
