Position: Solutions Architect
Contract Type: Permanent / full-time
Location: Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry (Hybrid working options available)
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will support the Head of Architecture in leading a team of architects, driving the definition of architectural strategies and roadmaps, and promote enhancements and opportunities that will shape DHL eCommerce UK technology strategy.
You will champion the methodologies and technologies used to drive new approaches, opportunities, and insight. You won’t just apply out-of-the-box models, you will have a working knowledge of how they work, when they work and why they work.
You will foster passion, encouragement, and motivation whilst mentoring and developing members of the wider organisation. Through your technical leadership, you will nurture innovative approaches to deliver competitive advantage, and operational efficiencies which will ultimately shape the organisation.
You will work closely with other members of the architecture team to identify, select and implement strategic technical changes supporting the business strategy. Working with and guiding internal development teams, external development partners and technical service providers to design and implement class-leading, scalable, robust, highly available, innovative, and secure solutions.
Comfortable with working with a broad set of stakeholders across the organisation, and broader group of DHL companies you will establish yourself as the key member within the Enterprise Architecture arena, supporting the Head of Architecture in the creation and communication of IT strategies and providing mentorship and learning to all.
Innovation will be at the heart of this role, and as such you will continually identify opportunities for enhancement, and better ways of working.
