The Digital Architect is a key contributor to the groups architecture practice, collaborating closely with peer groups, Practice Leads, Delivery & Engineering teams, Enterprise Architects, and Programme/Project leads.
At Endeavour Group, we are looking at re platforming our commerce solution. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions within SalesForce Commerce Cloud while also integrating with headless frontend technologies. The architect will be responsible for developing guidelines, best practices, technology evaluations, roadmaps, and solution architecture designs that assist technology investment decisions, and enable EGL engineering teams to implement innovative, secure and scalable solutions.
As our investment into Salesforce is strategic, this role will also be responsible for crafting our target state architecture with a view of leveraging Salesforce Cloud offerings in our Digital ecosystem.
Endeavour encompasses industry leading brands within retail & hospitality, alongside manufacturing services, wineries, and other specialty related businesses and services.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient architectures that are well researched with an accepted rationale and delivered with a structured set of architectural artefacts that are useful for multiple audiences.
  • Facilitating the adoption of target-state architectures, aligned across the enterprise where applicable, including conducting assessments of application designs for alignment with architectural principles and guardrails throughout project life cycles
  • Autonomously diagnose and resolve architecture and integration issue, and look at ways to enhance application performance and security through enterprise-level solutions
  • Collaborate with Data Governance, Cybersecurity, and Platform teams, as well as Risk and Project Portfolio Offices, to capture and track assessment-related issues in project and risk registers
  • Be a key contributor to the Architecture peer group and collaborate with Practice Leads within engineering, Web, Mobile, Content (Adobe cloud(s)), UX, and others

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture, across multiple cloud offerings including but not limited to Commerce Cloud and Service Cloud,
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions, preferably in Retail.
  • Solid understanding of headless frontend architectures and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms such as AEM is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience in an Enterprise Architecture management tool is desirable.
  • TOGAF or relevant industry certifications is desirable
