Pay Range: $99,945 - 162,507 annually
Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle
As NFM’s Solutions Architect, you will be pivotal in our transition from legacy systems to a modern architecture. This role involves in-depth analysis of existing systems, understanding business requirements and domains, and developing scalable and efficient architectures for new solutions. The Solutions Architect will be a key driver in our technological evolution, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and business processes. This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in one of the following states: NE, IA, MO, KS or TX.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

  • Monitor Evaluate different architectural options, understanding their strengths and weaknesses, and making choices that balance functionality, performance, scalability, and cost
  • Manage Convert business needs into technical specifications, creating solution designs that meet business goals while also being technically viable
  • Integrate Disparate systems, applications, and platforms, using APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven architecture to ensure seamless data flow and functionality across the enterprise ecosystem
  • Plan Choose appropriate architectural style and design patterns (such as microservices, serverless, monolithic, SOA) based on specific project requirements
  • Collaborate Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and development teams, to define and meet project goals

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in software development
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services and platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including designing and implementing cloud-native solutions
  • Proven track record in integrating complex systems, applications, and platforms. Experience in migrating systems from legacy architectures to modern, scalable architectures
  • Extensive experience in software development, including both front-end and back-end technologies, and familiarity with multiple programming languages
  • Solid experience in applying architectural design patterns and principles, with a strong understanding of different architectural styles (e.g., microservices, monolithic, serverless)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience in working within Agile frameworks
  • Understanding of network architecture, including concepts like load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) for efficient management of infrastructure
  • Mastery in a variety of programming languages and familiarity with software development frameworks and environments. This encompasses both front-end and back-end technologies, as well as a thorough understanding of database management systems and data modeling
  • Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs
