Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years experience within the technology field, with demonstrated proficiency as a thought leader.
  • Experience with electronic information exchange, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Solid understanding of a variety of standards, programming tools and development platforms such as microservices architecture, and scalable enterprise-caliber solutions (HL7 FHIR experience is preferred but not required).
  • Previous experience working within a health care setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and cultivate strong partnerships with clients, technical teams and internal business partners from all disciplines with all levels of experience.
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Highly analytical mindset, with an ability to see both the big picture and the details.
  • Formal IT architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF) are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to determine software and system requirements.
  • Creating high-level IT architecture specifications and design documents.
  • Providing external customers and internal development teams with architectural blueprints to follow.
  • Guiding and assisting staff internally and externally.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with design.
  • Ensuring that you and the team adhere to development schedules and deadlines.
  • Presenting regular progress reports and setting goals.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported on a daily or weekly basis.
