We are looking for a talented Sourcing Analyst (temporary 12 months) to join our team specializing in STRATEGIC SOURCING for our CUMMINS in San Luis Potosí, SLP, México .
Job description:
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for gathering information, inputs and data from various sources to perform analysis and simulations to support sourcing work. His/her primary job includes analyzing sourcing information to present findings that improve processes and reduce costs, while maintaining high quality in the delivery of products and services. In addition, he/she supports sourcing processes and may source assigned items, executing purchasing strategies at the agreed optimal cost. The analyst also leads some special projects within the scope of the team category and acts as a super-user or systems and tools expert to support the team.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Procure inventory, supplies and capital equipment, issuing purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Analyze sourcing and procurement initiatives and processes to support the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality goods and services.
  • Support the delivery of month-end and quarter-end value capture summaries.
  • Prepare and present recommendations for improvement opportunities and alternative measures to senior Purchasing/Sourcing leadership.
  • Consistently apply company policies, procedures and processes.
  • Support management in activities such as price comparison, supplier management, process analysis, market and industry research and business modeling.
  • Conduct minor contract negotiations and gather information to provide feedback on larger contracts.
  • Manage the upload and query of legal and compliance documents into the appropriate storage systems.
  • Participate in the process of interviewing and evaluating sales representatives and suppliers.
  • Support Six Sigma projects through active participation or provision of data and market analysis.
  • Interact with suppliers regarding payment and order fulfillment.
  • Manage Ariba’s Corporate Indirect Purchasing Process (CIP) and Contract Based Invoicing (IAC).
  • Perform low complexity or risk sourcing work and develop contracts under supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Oracle systems, Oracle cloud, GSAR, S360, ARIBA.
  • Windchill system.
  • Reporting systems: Sievo, MaCTrack.
  • English: Advanced.
  • Procurement ethics: Comply with supplier management, selection and sourcing processes.
  • Procurement Policies and Procedures: Comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Procurement Systems: Recognize and troubleshoot multiple procurement systems.
  • Sourcing to payment principles: Execute timely sourcing and payment decisions.
  • Sourcing: Use functional purchasing systems to establish total cost of ownership comparisons.
  • Supply base risk management: Proactively minimize and mitigate supplier risks.

EDUCATION, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
