Responsibilities:
As a sourcing developer, you lead the strategic sourcing of transport and home delivery services for IKEA Norway.
Key responsibilities include the management of existing contracts with delivery service suppliers, including supplier relationship management, negotiations and the follow up and optimization of cost.
In addition, the role secures the right solution and supplier portfolio for the future. This involves market research of the Norwegian transport sector, leading sourcing activities such as tenders and contract negotiations as well as the optimization between outsourced, insourced or crowdsourced solutions.
This role also plays an instrumental part of IKEA’s sustainability agenda by leading the transformation of all customer home deliveries in Norway towards zero emission. This entails the exploration of new emission-free technologies and the creation and implementation of clear strategies for the adaptation of zero emission vehicles in the delivery chain.
In this role, you will also collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as operations and commercial teams on shaping the IKEA service offer. Conducting cost analyses, evaluating different business scenarios and presenting of the resulting insights are therefore also an essential part of the role.
