Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide best in class sourcing expertise within the EMEA Transportation cluster within Corporate Procurement to all DHL Business Units, supporting sourcing strategies and liaising with customers. Reporting into the Regional Sourcing Manager for UK&I, with dotted line reporting into the wider Transportation Category, this is an interface role for specific sourcing activities.
Your role with involve managing sourcing processes for our individual customers with an average spend ranging from €1M to €20M per tender. Overall spend more than €800M per annum.
YOUR TASKS:
- Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of global or regional frame contracts.
- Support sourcing opportunities and assist in the development of supplier relationships.
- Integrate Procurement into business planning and thinking via effective influencing skills.
- Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfillment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service.
- Project Management of new assignments
- Apply standard Procurement RACI to new and existing Business Units/Contracts.
- Manage initial sourcing engagement and identify customer specific challenges. Project monitoring & escalation to management.
- Support development of Transportation sourcing as a dedicated and sustainable product within procurement team.
- Ensure required compliance regulations are adhered to, including respective governance and risk management implications.
- Be an interactive and participative team member within the EMEA Transport Procurement community.
