Danfoss Editron is currently looking for an experienced Sourcing Project Manager (m/f/d) to run Procurement-related Workstream within New Product Development in the area of power electronics.
Job location is preferred to be in Lappeeranta, Finland, but for the right candidate there will be a possibility to work remote near our Danfoss sites in Grodzisk Mazowiecki (Poland) and Hamburg (Germany). You should expect travelling within primarily Europe (max. 30 working days pr. year).

Responsibilities:

AS A SOURCING PROJECT MANAGER, YOU WILL PLAY A CRITICAL ROLE IN MANAGING THE SOURCING ACTIVITIES IN NPD PROJECTS WITH FOCUS ON POWER ELECTRONICS PRODUCTS.

It involves planning the project with cross-functional team and executing on the plans with the overarching goals of achieving high-quality, cost competitive product in a timely manner.

Key tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and coordinate procurement activities in New Product Development
  • Gaining alignment and approval from internal and external stakeholders
  • End-to-end responsibility in the delivery of procurement related items (e.g. selecting the best suppliers, monitoring component development projects at suppliers, meeting cost targets) ensuring they are properly managed and meet all expectations
  • Giving input on the project’s business case by developing component-based BCs reflecting the total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Negotiate the pricing structure with suppliers to ensure cost-competitiveness
  • Drive internal alignment with Category Management on strategy development and supplier selection
  • Communicate with suppliers, internal customers, management and stakeholders about progress, risks and roadblocks.
  • Facilitate structured problem solving
