We are now recruiting for an Executive Sous Chef for “The Hound”
This is a 2-rosette restaurant and is looking to progress more, you will closely with the executive chef in maintaining the high food standards and guiding the team the highest level,
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Culinary Experts who are looking to take the next step in their career.
Requirements :
- Experience in a similar position within a professional, busy 5 star kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures
- Experience in a variety of cuisines
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-tas
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Executive Sous Chef is an integral part of the delivery of great food to all our guests across all our food outlets. Must have own transport , no live in accommodation available and must have experience working in a 5 star location.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget.
- Taking care of the kitchen’s ordering and invoicing procedures .
- Liaising with the relevant companies for food orders and keeping up to date with the latest food trends,
- To manage and direct the kitchen on a day-to-day basis and to show excellent leadership and guidance,
- Creating of new concepts and menu planning in working with the executive chef
- Ensure that health and safety standards are met within the kitchen
- Guest Relations where appropriate
- Have thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards of performance and delivery within your department.
- Strong leadership, training skills and the ability to manage all aspects of a busy kitchen also essential.
- The successful candidate will have complete control of all kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, ensuring all HACCP is complete and fully compliant and overseeing all food ordering, stocking and food Costs.
