Please note that all hires will continue to be formally employed by a TC Energy employing entity until the separation is complete.

The Opportunity
Our South Bow Commercial group is currently looking to add a Senior Commercial Contract Analyst to the team, based in Calgary, AB.
Reporting to the South Bow - Manager, Commercial, this position will manage commercial contracts including preparing, reviewing, monitoring, executing, amending, and retaining agreements.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and respond to all email requests submitted through the team inbox
  • Draft and prepare agreements for review and execution, including obtaining required internal approvals and signatures and ensuring that all required corporate documents are sent and received
  • Provide support for commercial initiatives such as Open Seasons and commercial development opportunities
  • Coordinate and monitor contract documentation workflow and priorities among various internal and external stakeholders and ensure all documentation complies with relevant corporate and contract policies and procedures
  • Manage and maintain commercial contract data in company record management system
  • Manage commercial contract reporting
  • Contribute to the continuous development and enhancement of admin processes and controls
  • Assist/facilitate/act as a contact for the transition from TC Energy to South Bow as it relates to commercial agreements
  • Support and respond to internal and external audit requests
  • Provide exceptional service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership, legal, commercial development, business development, account managers
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
  • Be a visible role model of a high performing, continuous improvement culture and mindset

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education, typically a university degree, in a related field
  • 4 - 6 years’ related experience, including experience with Commercial Contracts
  • Proven understanding of contractual risk and ability to interpret contract language
  • Strong systems skills (MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe Sign) and other technology for automation / improvement of processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, OpenText and Power BI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in the midstream energy industry
