JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the senior level Space Test Analyst position in Colorado Springs, Colorado and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
The space test analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of testing procedures within the United States Space Force’s Space Training and Readiness command (STARCOM). This senior-level position involves comprehensive expertise in test suitability, overseeing the development and implementation of testing protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to guarantee the delivery of high-quality products or systems.
The analyst also plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of testing procedures within an organization and involves comprehensive expertise in test suitability, overseeing the development and implementation of testing protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to guarantee the delivery of high-quality products or systems.
The preferred candidate should have the flexibility to engage in travel, encompassing up to 25% of the time, to effectively fulfill the duties of this role. This includes routine local area travel (within 50 miles of the work location), as well as travel within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS).
Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 12 + years of relevant DoD (Department of Defense) work experience
• Proficient in technical domains encompassing space system architectures, satellite and ground segment design, EO/IR/RF sensors, astrodynamics, propulsion, guidance, navigation, and control (GNC), space-related data communications, as well as space battle management, command, and control, including defensive cyberspace operations
• Demonstrates a penchant for innovation and creativity, coupled with the adept skill to articulate intricate information in a clear and straightforward manner
• Operates independently while seamlessly engaging with both team members and senior leadership, fostering effective collaboration
• Experience with test, analysis, and/or experimentation of space systems or military systems including space operations or test control room experience
• Experience in the development, fielding, and sustainment of operational test and training infrastructure (OTTI)
• Experience supporting an Operational Test Agency (OTA)
• Experience supporting Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) oversight programs
• Proficiency in specialized areas, including but not limited to operations research, statistics, data analytics, test design, test data analysis, and test reporting
• Experience in developing capability requirements
• Recognized industry leader with strong analytical skills
• Headquarters staff experience
• Excellent written/verbal skills plus exceptional organization and presentation skills

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science (required)
• Master’s degree (preferred): Arts (MA), Science (MS), or Engineering (ME)
• Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
