A role for a contract Spark Developer has opened up with one of our clients within the financial services industry.
They are looking to deploy standalone Spark jobs into GCP and require an experienced Spark engineer who is able to create, upgrade and port Spark jobs in a reliable and secure fashion to the new target ecosystem. The original jobs were tuned to get the best from an on-prem DCX networking stack, so they’re looking for someone with knowledge in this area that is able to tune these jobs in GCP to get the best performance possible.
REQUIREMENTS
- Apache Spark (V2+)
- Proven experience deploying Spark Standalone jobs onto RHEL virtual machines
- Strong programming skills in Scala and Java
- Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
- Good knowledge of Networking (DCX experience a nice-to-have)
