Description:
We are looking for someone who stimulates ideas and innovation, gathers insights and embraces new ideas and innovation to inform future practice.
As a Spatial Data Analyst in the Regional and Spatial Planning Division, you will:
- Assist in modelling and forecasting functions and analysis of data (spatial and non-spatial) to inform planning policy making on land and dwelling supply matters across the region.- Assist in managing GMP core datasets on land, housing, demographic, employment, infrastructure, and related data to support planning, implementation, and monitoring activities.- Complete spatial analysis and management of spatial data to support the team’s operational delivery of land supply and development monitoring.- Undertake research and analysis to inform planning policy making and strategic planning initiatives.- Assist the team to initiate and prepare well research correspondence and documentation including detailed advice to senior management and stakeholders.- Work with the team to apply sound data governance practices to ensure data is secure, accurate, available, and fit for purpose.- Assist in managing projects and contributing to multi-disciplinary teams.- Represent the department in an effective and professional manner.Experience with FME, ArcGIS is desirable.
