Description:
Reporting to the Executive Director of the Foundation, the Special Events and Donor Relations Manager serves as the lead for planning, revenue generation, management, production and sponsorships related to special events hosted by the Moraine Valley Foundation. Events include gala dinner, golf outing, run/walk, and others. The position deals with a wide range of responsibilities including seeking and securing sponsorships, event theme building, creating event marketing materials, communicating with event attendees and corporate donors, contracting vendors, coordinating event logistics, timelines and tasks as necessary per event.
The Special Events and Donor Relations Manager requires knowledge and understanding of the college and Foundation’s philosophy, programs, and procedures. The manager is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Non-Profit Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) or other industry recognized certification preferred. Experience working for a non-profit organization preferred. Two or more years prior experience coordinating large (150+ guests) fundraising special events and volunteer-related activities. Two or more years prior experience securing and managing sponsorship programs.

- Required to work evenings or weekends as necessary
- Valid state driver’s license required
