IG Masonry Support Systems has combined experience with innovation to provide the most practical and advanced range of masonry support products on the market.
Based in Swadlincote, the Special Projects Engineer is responsible for designing, specifying and pricing structurally adequate IG Masonry Support products in response to client enquiries.
You will also be required to meet client expectations by ensuring prompt replies to queries, utilising all information provided, implementing information gathered from design/site meetings and meeting site delivery dates. You will need to communicate effectively during a handover meeting with your appointed project team to ensure correct drawings are produced on time and in accordance with the design.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a construction estimating/technical role.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and extracting relevant information efficiently.
• Strong CAD software skills (e.g., AutoCAD) and familiarity with other design tools.
• Solid project management abilities for handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Proactive problem-solving skills for technical challenges.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness.
• Target driven and ambitious.
• Experience with Bluebeam is desirable.
