Description:
The post requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable, reliable and approachable. You will have strong interpersonal and leadership skills. You will also have knowledge of current professional issues, including child protection. You will be supporting children with complex needs within special schools in North Tyneside.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care in accordance with local and national policy in an integrated way to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families You will have a good knowledge of the components of clinical governance, risk management, audits and relevant professional codes. The special school nursing service in Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust is a trust wide service and therefore you may be required to work at a different base other than the designated base at short notice
