Description:

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Possess a Polytechnic Diploma in relevant discipline or Diploma in Care and Programme
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in managing a Student Care Centre, Childcare Centre, or Kindergarten
  • Prior work experience with children with special needs is an added advantage
  • A team player with good communication and classroom management skills
  • Patient and passionate about teaching children with special needs
  • Good understanding in primary school curriculum
  • Meticulous, able to prioritize tasks and execute multiple job duties simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the student care centre efficiently and effectively.
  • In charge of curriculum professional matters and oversee to ensure that programmes and activities are carried out as centre’s curriculum
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective communication with parents.
  • Liaise with school with regards to students and Centre matters
  • Select, coach and mentor teachers to maximise their professional relationship with parents, harmonious working relations with colleagues and teaching performance for the growth of students under their care.
  • Plan for manpower and logistics of the centre
  • Handle administrative work to meet the compliance and regulatory requirements for the centre’s operation (i.e. proper documentation and timely submission of applications, withdrawals of enrolment and fees assistance schemes)
  • Maintain updated records of students’ profile and finance matters (i.e. handle fees payment and follow up on fees arrears)
  • Handle enquiries and provide regular feedback
  • Liaise with MSF and other authorities concerning matters related to the centre’s Operations.
  • Conduct teachers’ meeting and attend management’s monthly meeting
  • Coach for pupils under his/her charge in homework completion and preparations for school assessment (including spelling, tests and exams).
  • Maintain a culture of care and discipline among the pupils ensure pupil safety and well-being at all times.
  • Implement specific centre programs, initiatives and events.Any other duties assigned by Superior.
