BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Social Sciences;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a health care environment;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience interpreting, analyzing, and presenting data;
  • Experience in working independently and effectively managing multiple priorities;
  • Expertise in project planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting;
  • Knowledge of the health care environment and maternal, newborn care and women’s health system;
  • Knowledge of statistics and ability to analyze fiscal and patient care data;
  • Knowledge of principles of relationship management and stakeholder engagement;
  • Demonstrated understanding of Quality Improvement methods, principles and best practices;
  • Proven experience in quality improvement initiatives;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles of adult education and innovations in the field;
  • Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures, relative legislation, collective agreements, Canadian Hospital Accreditation Standards, Professional Disciplines Standards for Ontario, and clinical practice guidelines;
  • Knowledge of computers (i.e., clinical software, Microsoft Office Suite, internet and email);
  • Excellent oral and written communication;
  • Effective presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated problem solving and concern resolution;
  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to facilitate change;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Business/Health Care Administration, Quality or other health or project management related field.
