We are currently recruiting for a Cargo Underwriter to join our established and experienced Marine Underwriting team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
This role involves working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth. You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques to help achieve this growth. This applies to new and/or existing cases within our agreed process and defined underwriting appetite.
You will spend most of your time working with your selected brokers, identifying, discussing, negotiating and converting new and existing business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions. Within this role you will underwrite both New & Existing Cargo business.
About You
To be successful in your role of Cargo Underwriter you will require experience of Cargo Underwriting preferably from an underwriting background but a broking background would also be considered.
You will be able to build working relationships with insurance brokers and write profitable business to ensure growth of the account.
