Description:

We are looking to recruit two highly motivated clinical/ counselling psychologists or psychological therapists to join our Complex Emotional Needs and Complex Trauma team in Tower Hamlets.

WE WILL BE RECRUITING FOR TWO POSTS:

A 0.8wte (30hours per week) fixed term contract (13months)
A 0.6wte (22.5hours per week) (permanent position)
The post is suitable for someone with enthusiasm and experience in working with people with complex trauma, high level of risk and multiple needs in a compassionate, trauma-informed and collaborative way. The role requires a good grounding in psychological theory and formulation, experience in supervision and team support but also a flexible and creative approach to psychological interventions in community settings. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with the development of new pathways of care for people with multiple needs and the successful candidate will benefit from continuing professional development in trauma-informed practice.
The postholder will have the opportunity to engage with service development and must have experience in developing and facilitating group psychological interventions. The role also involves developing partnerships across local community groups to promote social connections, community engagement and participation. The postholder will contribute to staff training and provide support (supervision, reflective practice, informal, ad hoc,).

The postholder will contribute to staff training and provide support (supervision, reflective practice, informal, ad hoc, and formal consultation) to other psychological therapists, mental health practitioners, GPs, community workers, carers and people with lived experience of mental distress.
You must be keen to embrace the privileges of working in a diverse borough, have experience of working with people with complex mental health difficulties and from a range of religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds as well as working in partnership with staff teams and community organisations to deliver psychologically informed care.
We aim to develop and deliver our services through co-production with people with lived experience. The department has an excellent relationship with People Participation and Tower Hamlets Recovery College. We would expect you to be fully committed to partnership working and co-production.
The successful candidate will be closely involved with both the Department of Adult Mental Health Psychology and local Primary Care Networks under whose governance they will experience continuing professional development
