JOB DESCRIPTION
The Specialist Engineer reporting directly to the Cascade Aerospace PAV/AVS ATO SDE provides onsite customer support with the CC-130H Aircraft Engineering Officer (AEO) and Weapon System Manager (WSM) office.
The position provides a direct link between AEO-CC130H and the ATO SDE. The role requires effective communications in aerospace engineering, in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for DND, the ability to provide timely engineering design solutions for the CC130H fleet and effective coordination between the CC130H AEO, the PAV/AVS ATO SDE and the Senior Manager, Engineering Programs (DND).

EDUCATION
- BSc in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
EXPERIENCE
- 7-10 years’ experience in an aerospace environment working on aircraft design, testing and certification or equivalent engineering experience developing regulatory compliance documentation in a government-regulated industry (marine, transportation, flight safety, etc.)
- Expertise in the DND Technical Airworthiness Manual or Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR 521) considered an asset
- CF Veteran an asset

Directly support enquires from CC-130H AEO with timely responses to airworthiness and technical engineering concerns and requirements.
Effectively communicate CC-130H AEO airworthiness and technical engineering concerns with the PAV/AVS ATO SDE and Senior Manager Engineering Programs (DND).
Research and recommend to the PAV/AVS ATO SDE and Senior Manager Engineering Programs (DND) the scope and depth of airworthiness and engineering support required.
Analyze the regulatory aspects and deliverables associated to aircraft repair designs, aircraft modifications and other design changes to support the CC-130H fleet.
Participate in the development of engineering substantiation data in support of airworthiness certification compliance requirements.
Be familiar with and ensure that all workplace conduct is in accordance with Cascade Aerospace’s Human Resources safety and security policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required as directed by the PAV/AVS ATO SDE.
