Are you a metallurgist or material specialist engineer with drilling industry knowledge?
Then we have a great opportunity for you at HMH.
You will be a part of our technical management team and set the parameters for this discipline.
Your mandate in supporting our product engineering as well as our procurement and service departments will hold strong value to HMH together with your expertise related to materials, fabrication, and quality assurance.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining material specifications and company procedures, and ensure updates are implemented according to relevant codes and standards.
You can be a contributor in international standardization committee work for material and welding. You will take responsibility for HSSE and quality and play an active role in technology development across various market segments. Your contribution to our organization will be in close collaboration with the product owner/product expert and aligning with the agreed product strategy.

What we think you should have:
You are a specialist engineer with experience from the drilling/lifting industry
Ability to write technical and contractual specifications in English.

In addition, we would like you to have the following qualifications:

  • Technical education/experience within material technology.
  • Extensive welding, material technology and corrosion competence.
  • High competence within coating.
  • Knowledge of classification societies like DNV or ABS
  • Knowledge of common material and welding standards, ISO, ASME, API etc.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and workshop practices.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive test methods
  • High competence of supplier qualifications process.

More specifically to this role, you need to understand the concept and develop early-stage feasibility evaluations in our product development. This correlates closely with your participation in the detail design and technical guidance to fabrication and product lifecycle services.
