Description:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. information technology, aviation).
- Experience in the aviation industry in the field of flights operations, crew planning and/or cybersecurity
- Experience with crew planning tools, preferably Jeppesen JCR and JCP
- Structured programming skills, preferably Python, Rave or Bash
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills as well as communication and organizational skills
- Team player, flexible and willing to work on a variety of topics
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Any other language will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Following the digitalization of Flight Operations activities, we are looking for a dynamic person to join our team. You will have dual functions, namely:
- Support for (Jeppesen) crew scheduling optimization systems (50%)
- Support for Flight Operations systems information security (50%)
You will support and further strengthen the ongoing transformation of Flight Operations/Crew Planning towards KPI driven optimized scheduling:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and document the enhancements in Jeppesen JCR & JCP products
- Develop and maintain changes in the CARMUSR layer of the Jeppesen JCR and JCP products
- Ensure optimal system performance at all times and provide recommendations for continuous improvement in crew scheduling systems
- Train crew planners in the use of JCR, JCP and related systems and processes
In addition, you will support Flight Operations in the area of Information Security (Cyber Security):
- Act as first point of contact for Cyber Security matters between Flight Operations and the Cargolux IT/Cyber Security team
- Coordinate and support Flight Operation’s involvement in the company’s Aviation Information Security Management System
- Document Flight Operations systems key processes and procedures, identify critical information/communications technology systems and processes
- Participate in Cyber Security Risk Assessments led by the IT department
- Monitor and ensure compliance of Flight Operations with EASA Part IS and other relevant requirements
