Responsibilities:
Main tasks Forwarding:
- Independent checking of customer orders and initiating the necessary corrections in direct contact with colleagues from Order Management.
- Preparation of export documents in accordance with the export and customs regulations of the Federal Republic of Germany and the EU and the import regulations in the countries, including the coordination of goods inspections by service providers.
- Checking freight papers and documents.
- Preparation of dangerous goods documents.
- Checking and signing off dangerous goods documents and checking packages after order to the authorised person for dangerous goods (bP).
- Placing the order and handing over the consignment and freight documents to the freight forwarder in accordance with KLM guidelines, dangerous goods regulations and packaging regulations.
- Coordination of delivery dates according to customer requirements through intensive and proactive communication with internal departments.
- Ensuring on-time despatch (daily checking of open shipments) and proactive shipments) and proactive action in the event of delays until a satisfactory solution is found for the customer.
- Checking forwarding invoices and initiating any necessary corrections in direct contact with the haulage companies, external service providers and the colleagues from the finance department.
- Ensuring the timely return of export certificates.
- Ensuring the VAT document and accounting proof in accordance with UStDV and Klüber regulations.
- Proper and auditable filing.
- Handling of transport damage.
- Recording, monitoring and processing of orders that are to be processed via the documentary payment transactions (processing of letters of credit).
- Interface function to the order management and warehouse areas.
- Coordination with the forwarders.
Qualifications:
Professional qualifications
- Several years of experience in a logistics function
- SAP, AEB-Assist and MS-Office know-how
- Best-practice experience in intra- and extra-logistics
- Practical and in-depth experience in Lean Management and Six Sigma
- Key performance indicator based decision making
