JOB OVERVIEW

Due to a recent promotion within the team, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part time band 7 Gastro Dietitian to join our friendly dietetic team on a temporary basis for 12 months. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our dynamic team with some previous experience in managing patients with gastroenterological conditions. The role will be based at Epsom hospital with some off site working for clinics.
This is an excellent opportunity to consolidate previous knowledge of patients with gastroenterological conditions and enhance skills in this area within a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will provide a highly specialised Dietetic service to patients with a gastroenterological condition within the local area.
We actively encourage personal development, whilst the department currently provides training for placement 1, 2 and 3 students and you will both lead and participate in this as part of the team.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

To act as gastroenterology specialist and provide a highly specialised, comprehensive and effective dietetic service working alongside the consultants at EGH. To be the lead in the area of education in gastroenterology.
To work with all members of the dietetic department to deliver a high
quality service that meets professional standards and fulfils Clinical
Governance.
To manage own caseload/time/meetings and meet daily deadlines autonomously. To be the link for student Dietitians for the University of Surrey alongside the development of timetables.
The post will be predominantly based in Epsom however flexibility for some cross site working will be required.
The post retains the flexibility to work across a seven day working pattern.
