Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY
Part of the Capital Markets CAO team, this first line risk role within the Capital Markets business will be involved in identifying, measuring, and escalating key risks within the business. The Specialist, Market & Liquidity , based in Singapore, will involve working with business unit stakeholders to mitigate the inherent risks by supporting the development of frameworks and enhanced standards.
This role will include engagement with senior leaders within the business and supporting areas, collaboration with second line risk functions, and communication with regulators. Therefore, excellent communication skills and knowledge of the Capital Markets business are essential.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Identify changes to the risk profile of the business and escalate these changes accordingly
- Foster an environment for open dialogue with business unit leaders serving as a trusted advisor on risk related issues
- Provide a forum to review, advise, challenge, and document changes to the Capital Markets product offerings including new products, product enhancements and process changes
- Oversee the ongoing management of the inherent risks identified through risk and control self-assessments
- Support the relationship with the second line risk function
- Support regulatory engagements as required
- Support the alignment of the Capital Markets Risk Management Framework with the evolving Enterprise Risk Management Framework
- Engage with senior management on key initiatives
- Be the initial point of contact on first line risk matters relating to Capital Markets activity in the APAC region
