Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated Band 6 Substance Misuse Nurse (RMN) to join our Shared Care GP based service that provides high quality addictions and recovery care to a diverse service user group of co-occurring mental health and substance misuse conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for case managing a small but complex caseload of dually diagnosed patient. They will be responsible for the delivery of high standards of nursing care and psychosocial interventions to patients of the service according to their clinical needs and in accordance with up-to-date evidence-based practice and relevant clinical protocols and policies.
They will offer clinical supervision to Case Managers, Trainee Case Mangers and Recovery Workers and present their clinical proposals and expertise to the creation of new and innovative projects to maintain a highly skilled service delivery.
To promote the health and well-being of service users and carers and to maintain a safe, caring, and therapeutic relationship with a focus on the service user’s substance misuse needs.
To continue to demonstrate specialist clinical skills in practice and provide support/advice on service development and the delivery of care, in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers and other stakeholders.
To guide, educate and support the team, local services and wider stakeholders. in best practice and support to facilitate engagement and hold a small caseload of complex and dually diagnosed clients.
To offer clinical supervision to Case Managers, Trainee Case Mangers and Recovery Workers and present their clinical proposals and expertise to the creation of new and innovative projects to maintain a highly skilled service delivery. Undertake aspects of leadership and training specific to maintain continued professional development of the band 6 role.
To be jointly responsible with other senior colleagues for the day-to-day planning. and support the team leads and other colleagues with the implementation of policy, protocol, service/practice development and change within own area of responsibility
