An exciting new opportunity has arisen as part of our think family journey within Stockport NHS FT for an enthusiastic and skilled Specialist Nurse/Practitioner to work as part of the wider Think Family Safeguarding Service for all aspects of Safeguarding, this role will have some delegated responsibility for Domestic Abuse such as people with learning disabilities, and people with complex needs along with family safeguarding.
This is a full-time post, 37.5 hours.
In conjunction with the Named Professionals and the Head of Safeguarding, the Specialist Nurse/Practitioner for Safeguarding will provide specialist safeguarding advice and guidance for all aspects of safeguarding and they will take a delegated lead for Domestic Abuse for the Trust. They will ensure practice is in line with local and national policy, regulatory and legislative requirements. Service development, collaboration and multi-agency working to further the safeguarding think family agenda.
We are seeking a highly experienced practitioner with a strong interest in safeguarding and a genuine commitment to safeguarding under a whole family ethos. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a sound understanding of the issues relating to patients and service users within a safeguarding context. The Specialist Nurse/Practitioner for Safeguarding will work closely with Named Safeguarding Professionals and multi-professional partners working to ensure that the Trust’s statutory responsibilities to safeguard and promote the welfare of patients and their families accessing SNHSFT services are met.
