This is a fantastic development opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a specialist role as you develop to become a perinatal mental health pharmacist. Annex 21 arrangements can be offered as you develop your knowledge and skills in this specialist area. Mental health experience is desirable, but not absolutely essential
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable pharmacist to join a growing specialist community Perinatal Mental Health Service. You will work within the specialist Perinatal multidisciplinary team to support women and their families in the preconception and perinatal periods. The team work closely with colleagues in mental health, and community partners in midwifery, health visitors, social work, GP practices and safeguarding. The post holder will join a specialist community perinatal mental health service providing advice around medicines and a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, alongside the multidisciplinary team.
The role will have close links with the pharmacy team and a developing network of perinatal mental health pharmacists across Wales and the UK. Thus, providing a unique opportunity for development and potential for career progression.
Base – flexible within Powys, including potential for remote working and consultations, flexible working options considered.
Annex 21 arrangement - undertake 12-18-month development programme at Band 8a Annex 21 to obtain the relevant professional training, knowledge and or skills, completion of competencies and experience to meet the band 8a Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Pharmacist role and all duties as indicated within this job description. Timeframe to be agreed on appointment.
