Description:
Role of Physiotherapy in the community To work within the multi-disciplinary team. Falls risk assessment and implementing plans to decrease risk of falling. Assessment of functional mobility. Completing home visits.
Assessing the requirement for mobility aids. Advise on ways to increase stamina/exercise tolerance/fitness. Formulating and implementing treatment plans. Assessment and treatment of specific musculoskeletal complaints.
Assessment and treatment/management of physical problems related to neurological conditions. Assessment and treatment/management of acute and chronic respiratory conditions. To encourage and facilitate regular physical activity to benefit physical and mental health and well-being. To refer to other services as appropriate.
