Description:

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Practitioner looking for an opportunity to hone your clinical skills within a specialist service? If so, our flagship specialist veterans service is keen to meet you.
Op Courage is the NHS Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. Our service covers the central area of Southern England. The successful candidate for this post will be based in either Hampshire/Berkshire. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, carrying out assessment, care planning, onward referral and offering psycho education for veterans with mental health issues, including Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety disorders, substance misuse and anger issues. You will be fully supported, with training where needed.
A passion for supporting our ex Armed Forces community (veterans) is essential.
Your self-care and wellbeing is important to us. We pride ourselves on offering excellent clinical and peer support within the team.

Responsibilities:

RMN or equivalent professional Qualification/ Qualified Social worker/Occupational Therapist
Broad experience, gained over a minimum of 2 years with mental health needs in a range of clinical setting s.
Evidence and experience of working with adults presenting with complex mental health difficulties.
Enthusiasm for working with the Ex armed force community.
Our OpCourage Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service covers the area of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Hampshire including the Isle of Wight.
You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team. The service operational administrative base is in Erlegh House at the University of Reading, Berkshire. The team come together once monthly for a business meeting, and on other specified occasions as necessary.
