ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a highly motivated contracts specialist to join the AppDirect in-house legal team. The position will report directly to the General Counsel, while partnering closely with AppDirect’s Senior Counsel for commercial contracts and AppDirect’s provider, procurement, and customer teams to negotiate and manage contracts. This position will have substantial responsibilities and will have the opportunity to be creative, make a big impact, and add immediate value. The position can be virtual (U.S. or Canada) or based in one of AppDirect’s U.S. offices (Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco) or Canadian offices (Calgary, Montreal).

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all phases of contract preparation, negotiation, administration, and management, in particular for AppDirect’s catalog of suppliers and service providers (in industries such as cloud, telecommunications, and energy)
  • Partner with key internal business teams, including service provider teams and customer teams, to create strategies and tactics for all contracts, including provider contracts, vendor contracts, and customer contracts
  • Manage and negotiate referral, resale and distribution contracts with external suppliers and service providers, as well as other commercial contracts including customer contracts and vendor contracts
  • Create playbooks and templates to review, negotiate and finalize contracts, and manage contracts requirements and compliance
  • Train and enable business teams to negotiate preliminary and basic contract terms and conditions
  • Create, monitor and track key performance indicators for contracts negotiations efficiency
  • Partner with the business teams to ensure proper implementation of contracts
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures for contract lifecycle and contract management
  • Create and manage repository of contracts, including evaluating and potentially utilizing contract management tools
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as requested
  • Assist with and help manage legal operations for the legal team, including tracking and reporting on key performance indicators
