Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Singleton Hospital theatre department for a speciality manager to oversee our General, Breast and Vascular surgical teams. We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, Scrub practitioner with fantastic leadership skills to support our busy teams within the Theatre department as a Band 7 running our General, Breast and Vascular service.
The post holder will be required to Manage the General, Breast and Vascular Theatre Teams, supervise, assess, develop, implement and evaluate perioperative patient care and work closely with all disciplines to ensure the effective running of General, Breast and Vascular and supported services within the Health board Theatre suites
The post holder will be involved in attaining and reporting key performance indicators. The post holder will be responsible for staff deployment, supervision and teaching within the clinical areas and provide clinical and managerial leadership to Nursing/Operating Department Practitioners and support staff.
We are looking to recruit a committed, passionate, highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to lead these teams. You must have excellent communication skills; work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and have the ability to lead alongside the Senior Management delivering high standards of care and providing first class patient service.
A passion for General, Breast and Vascular surgery is a must along with a significant years band 6 scrub experience within this field.
As the speciality manager overseeing these teams you will be expected to undertake both clinical and non clinical duties.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
