The service is busy, friendly and dynamic. The service provides Old Age Psychiatry community and inpatient services to the elderly population of Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, North Shields and Wallsend as well as Old Age Liaison services within North Tyneside General Hospital. It benefits from close working relations with physician colleagues, particularly in Care of the Elderly Medicine. The service is based in modern accommodation on the North Tyneside General Hospital site
