Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

We are looking for an enthusiastic Doctor to join our district General Hospital Women’s Health Team.
Offering well-established Urogynaecology, minimal access, menstrual disorders and ambulatory gynaecology services there are plenty of opportunities to develop skills in these areas.

THE POSITION IS SUITABLE FOR:

Candidates with ST3+ experience.
Overseas doctors who wish to pursue a career in the UK and have completed training in general Obstetrics & Gynaecology to ST3+ level or above and hold MRCOG qualification.
This is a 10 PAs position with a 1 in 8 resident on call component on the middle grade rota. The successful candidate will be on call with a resident SHO and a non-resident consultant. Although the job in primarily based at the Winchester site, some of the on call may be on the Basingstoke site.
The job will involve all aspects of emergency obstetrics and gynaecology, labour ward sessions, antenatal and gynaecology clinics, and gynaecology theatre. SPA time will be incorporated into the job plan which will be finalised between the appointee and their nominated clinical lead as soon as possible after the commencement date.

Obstetric & Gynaecological Services are based mainly within the Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH), Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (BNHH), and Andover War Memorial Hospital (AWMH). Additional outpatient services are provided across Hampshire.
