Specialty Doctor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

The post holder will have the opportunity to participate in the provision of the acute trauma service on the second tier on call for the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTH). They will undertake the management of patients requiring Oral & Maxillofacial services in both outpatient & inpatient settings. This will include, but is not limited, to oncology, Orthognathic surgery, dento-alveolar surgery, facial trauma, diagnostic and treatment clinics, local and general anaesthetic theatre sessions, provision of emergency on-call at second tier level. The post holder will take a significant part in providing training for the junior doctors & dentists in the department.
They will be expected to provide clinical supervision for these post graduate trainees. The post holder will be expected to undertake personal audit and engage with clinical governance activities within the department
