Childrens Medical WardParticipation in ward rounds including post-take ward roundGeneral paediatric work, including assisting with admissions, performing practical procedures and reviewing children on the Observation and Assessment UnitSupervising the work of junior doctorsSeeing cases of suspected NAI, under Consultant supervision, and producing appropriate S47 reportsReviewing some children, as needed, in the Accident and Emergency Department Neonatal UnitProviding middle grade cover and continuity of careSupervising the work of tier 1 colleaguesPerforming practical proceduresAttending certain high risk deliveries on the labour wardCare of infants on Transitional Care (postnatal ward)Overseeing discharge letters for babies from the NNU and Postnatal wards.Ensuring updates of clinical records on Badger system OutpatientsWe would encourage and try and support as much as possible outpatient experience, under consultant supervision and to produce outpatient letters on patients reviewed
