Speech and Language Therapy Administrative Assistant

The Ealing Speech and Language Therapy department is a friendly, enthusiastic team where we strive to provide services of high quality for the diverse population of the London Borough of Ealing.
We have a 3 day (0.6wte) position available as a Speech and Language Therapy Administrative Assistant within the Early Years Speech and Language Therapy Team. This post involves supporting a large team of therapists with a range of administration tasks and resource-making.
The Early Years team provide assessment clinics and ongoing therapy to children under 5 years in clinic settings and also has a well-established universal service. The postholder will be involved in:
General administration duties, e.g. filing, sending out appointment letters, answering phone calls, scanning, arranging training, ordering equipment.
Making materials to be used in therapy.
Managing spreadsheets, setting up survey monkeys, data entry, monitoring waiting lists.
Supporting the administrative side of running parent/carer communication workshops e.g. supporting families to log on to the online workshop, setting up rotas, outcoming appointments.
Training will be provided, but the post holders are required to have excellent communication skills, proven administration and IT skills and to be effective team workers. The post holder should also have an interest in services that work with young children.
The role involves a combination of admin time at the main base as well as some time spent working from home. We are committed to supporting staff and have a range of systems in place to continue to support staff virtually.
