REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but will consider an equivalent combination of education/work experience.
• One to two years related leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
• An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: Exempt, Full time $40,000-$42,500 annually

The Caylor-Nickel Family YMCA is looking for an energetic, outgoing team player to fill the position of Sports and Aquatics Program Director to grow the current programming options available.

• Nurture: Ensure a safe and positive environment for all aquatics and sports participants to succeed in programming goals.
• Motivate: Work alongside the head coach to organize and lead the swim team, practices, and meets. Contribute to the growth of the swim team, and serve as liaison to parents
• Build: Develop, implement and promote both adult sports leagues and adult drop-in sports as a successful program to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
• Engage: As the main face of both aquatics and sports programs the Program Director should build relationships with members, and support staff, be positive, friendly, and helpful.
