About the position
As the The Sports Marketing Coordinator, you will be overviewing all cycling related sports marketing partnerships and activities at Maurten, to consolidate and expand the companies position in elite cycling (e.g. MTB, road and gravel). With knowledge in professional sports, you will take all perspectives of professional cycling into consideration to develop Maurtens Sports Marketing Program while honoring our mission to put our “ATHLETES FIRST!”.
The role is the link between Maurten and the athletes and teams to ensure a high level of engagement, support and education to inspire, motivate and educate new and existing consumers through our partnerships. Driving efficiencies and objective judgement in the monitoring and evaluation of sponsoring’s and projects, should lead to an increase of athletes exposure in quality and quantity.
Job responsibilities
- Build and maintain sponsoring relations with individual athletes and team partnerships
- Plan and manage product supply for athletes and teams
- Athlete service and education (coordinate with Performance nutrition team)
- Maintenance of Athletes/Teams race calendar (incl. media appearances and relevant dates for M. communication calendar)
- Result tracking of athletes and teams
- Regular feedback to athlete and team cooperation’s (Product integrations, product education, marketing activities, etc.)
- Coordination and execution of marketing projects/campaigns (e.g. product launches or content productions)
- Management and feedback of sponsoring requests
- Scouting and evaluation of potential future athletes
- Athletes event support (Major races, World Cups, etc.)
- Drive and create processes for automation of essential workflows

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for sports, preferably cycling, and a deep understanding of professional sport and its athletes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills with the ability to evaluate and execute sponsoring’s and/or projects independently and based on analytical and strategical judgement. The right candidate would also meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in the field of sports marketing, sport sponsoring or athletes management
- Bachelor and/or Master degree in Marketing (preferably Sports Marketing)
- Personal or professional experience in sports (preferably Cycling)
- Good knowledge of Social Media (and tracking KPIs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
