ABOUT YOU:
Ideally we are looking for the following:
- Trade qualified
- Competence in all aspects of spray painting
- Self-motivation with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and follow instruction
- Class 1 Drivers licence (class 2 desirable)
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this role you must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance. See minimum criteria below:
- NZ citizen who has resided continuously in NZ for the past 5 years, OR
- A NZ Permanent Resident who has resided in NZ for the past 5 years OR
- A citizen of Australia, Canada, UK or the USA who has a current work permit for NZ
If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
You will also be required to undergo pre-employment activities including drug screening and vetting by NZ Police.
Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Our Paint and Panel Department is a large scale workshop which predominately deals with heavy commercial vehicles and equipment including those in the New Zealand Defence Force Fleet.
As a Spray Painter you will be responsible for the end-to-end process - from prep work right through to finishing. Your technical knowledge and skill will be called upon to provide technical solutions to meet business and/or customer requirements.
